James Jehu (Jay) Crispin, 67, of Pennsville, after a courageous battle, went home to be with the Lord on July 1, 2014.

He was retired and enjoyed collecting and restoring clocks and time pieces for family and friends, He also enjoyed finding and restoring furniture.

He will be missed by his daughters Caryn Ricketts (Michael) of Wilmington, DE and Chelli Williams (Edward) of Wilmington, DE and 2 granddaughters, Lacey Frey and Lauren Williams, 2 sisters Pam Golt and Nancy Hocknell as well as his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Vivian Crispin and 2 brothers, Carl and Larry Crispin.

Services are private and at the convenience of the family.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty, well preserved body. Rather to skid in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming WOW! What a ride! And that's what he did!
